 No. Many parents at some point over the course of raising their children into adulthood find it necessary to get help. They will at some point consult with their parents, grandparents, pastor, neighbor, friends, sister, brother, teacher or professional resources to get advice on how to deal with a situation involving their child’s behavior. That is the beauty of community.

Don't be ashamed to ask for help or take it to mean you are a bad parent. There is no such thing as a perfect parent or perfect child. Raising children is a hard job and no one can do it alone. What age does the child need to be?

When I begin using and developing the Points Method™ my oldest son was six, my youngest son was four, and little Derrick (our neighbor's child) was three years old. My oldest son is now 13 years old and the system is just as effective.
